Swope announces 2020 men's and women's tennis schedules

Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis men's and women's tennis head coach Lisa Swope announced the 2020 spring schedules on Tuesday.

The women's team opens the season on Jan. 17 at Towson, while the men's squad begins the 2020 campaign on Jan. 19 at Morgan State. Swope, who enters her second year as head coach, is excited to get the season underway.

"I'm looking forward to the season with both the men and women again," Swope said. "They have extremely competitive matches scheduled to prepare them for conference championships."

The women's schedule is highlighted by home matches against Marshall (Feb. 2), Carnegie Mellon (Feb. 28) and Central Michigan (Feb. 29). All home matches will take place at the Ebensburg Tennis Center.

The men's team will be competing in the spring for the first time since 2018 after the program was suspended for the 2018-19 season. This year's schedule includes a meeting with Big Ten foe Penn State on Feb. 16 in University Park, Pa. The Red Flash will host Carnegie Mellon on Feb. 29.

The 2020 Northeast Conference Men's and Women's Tennis Championships will take place on Apr. 17-19 at the Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, N.J.
