Loretto, Pa- With the NEC Commissioner's Cup on the line, the Saint Francis men's volleyball team earned its first EIVA win of the season and keeps the Commissioner's Cup trophy at home with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-14, 25-22) win over Sacred Heart Friday evening at DeGol Arena.

Saint Francis improved to 7-5 overall and 1-1 in conference action with the win. Sacred Heart fell to 1-6 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

First Set
- Both teams hung close with each other until SFU scored three-straight points capped by a kill from BJ Blair (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater Raritan) to make it 17-15 and forced Sacred Heart to call timeout.
- The Pioneers kept things close out of the timeout but another SFU three-straight points helped the Red Flash leap to a 24-20 lead and enforced another Sacred Heart timeout.
- A kill and an attack error halted the Red Flash at set point until Evan Feltz's (Westerville, Ohio/St. Francis DeSales) kill on the third set point clinched the set for the Red Flash.
- Set Score: SFU 25, SHU 22- SFU leads 1-0

Second Set
- The Red Flash sped out to a 7-2 early lead in set two. Feltz had two kills while Hayden Herc (Eden, N.Y./Eden) provided two blocks on the run.
- The Red Flash continued to build onto its lead at 12-3 behind three-straight kills, two from Feltz and one from Cole Carver (Hershey, Pa./Hershey).
- SFU managed to hold its big lead the rest of the way as two attack errors helped put the match in favor of the Red Flash.
- The Red Flash finished the set with a .588 hitting percentage on 12 kills (12-2-17).
- Set Score: SFU 25, SHU 14- SFU leads 2-0

Third Set
- SFU won the first three points and, just like the second set, never gave up its lead in the third.
- Sacred Heart did manage to keep things within three points, but the Pioneers were marred by errors which killed any chance of a comeback.
- The Red Flash maintained a three-or four-point lead and closed the set on back to back service errors.
- Set Score: SFU 3, SHU 0- SFU wins 3-0

Game Notes
- Patrick Bryan (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) and Feltz finished the night with double-digit kills. Bryan had 15 while Feltz added 11.
- Herc was a force at the net all night long, finishing with three total blocks (1 solo, 2 assists).
- Blair had 29 assists and showed some impressive defensive flashes with six digs and one block assists.
- Gabe Woffindin (Allentown, Pa./William Allen) topped the Red Flash with seven digs.
- Saint Francis hit .338 (39-14-74) to Sacred Heart's .191 (25-12-68) for the match.
- Emerson Waumans and Jakob Karlsson led the Pioneers with 9 kills apiece.
