The loss marks its second in EIVA play for the Red Flash (7-6, 1-2). Harvard improves to 2-7 and 2-1 in the EIVA.

Set One
- The first set was tightly contested early as indicated by three tied scores and three lead changes.
- Three straight kills and two straight attack errors helped the Red Flash to a 5-0 run to lead 14-11 and force the Crimson's to a timeout.
- After a timeout, the Red Flash tacked on four more points to lead 18-1, behind a Hayden Herc (Eden, N.Y./Eden) ace and Patrick Bryan (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) kill.
- SFU held the Crimson's to three points the rest of the way to take the first set.
- Set Score: SFU 25, HAR 17- SFU leads 1-0

Set Two
- Harvard was the beneficiary of back to back points to take a 17-12 edge early in the set.
- The Crimsons stormed ahead following the SFU timeout with four of the next seven points to lead 21-14, including a combined four kills from Johnsson, Schmit, and Dow.
- Harvard managed never to let its lead dip below four for the remainder of the set.
- Set Score: HAR 25, SFU 20- Match tied 1-1

Set Three
- Much like the first set, both teams exchanged points until Harvard broke off four straight points to lead 13-10.
- The Red Flash climbed back within one following a Harvard attack error, but the Crimson's broke off on 8-2 run to lead 20-14.
- Harvard took the set and match lead following a Griffin Sangrey (Millersville,Pa./Penn Manor) service error.
- Set Score: HAR 25, SFU 19- HAR lead 2-1

Set Four
- Both squads wouldn't give the early lead as the teams traded points for most of the set.
- Harvard managed to break away three straight points to take a 20-17 lead before SFU stormed back within one and forced Harvard to its first timeout of the set.
- Three straight points out of the timeout threatened the Crimson's to another timeout. SFU ahead 23-21.
- A Bryan kill put the Red Flash at match point,24-22, but two Eric Li kills helped the Crimson's to a 3-0 run and a 25-24 lead.
- Li finished the set and match with another kill.
- Set Score: HAR 65, SFU 24- HAR wins 3-1

Game Notes
- Bryan and Evan Feltz (Westerville, Ohio/St. Francis DeSales) finished the night with double-digit kills. Bryan had 21 while Feltz added 12.
- Herc was a force at the net, finishing with three total blocks (2 solo, 1 assists).
- Blair had 41 assists and showed some impressive defensive flashes with 11 digs and three block assists.
- Gabe Woffindin (Allentown, Pa./William Allen) added 10 digs.
- Harvard hit .283 (50-16-120) to Saint Francis .188 (47-22-133) for the match.
- Erik Johnsson led the Crimson's with 17 kills.

The Red Flash will hit the road next weekend for another pair of EIVA matches against University of Charleston and George Mason. Both matches are slated to start at 7 p.m.
