Women's Tennis hosts FDU for Senior Day on Saturday

Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis women's tennis (3-12, 2-0 NEC) looks to remain undefeated in conference play when the Red Flash host Fairleigh Dickinson (6-6, 0-0 NEC) for Senior Day on Saturday, March 30. First serve at the Ebensburg Tennis Center is set for 1:30 p.m. SFU will then travel to play at Carnegie Mellon on Sunday, March 31 at 1 p.m.

Saint Francis will be honoring seniors Raksha Bode (Reunion, Fla./Florida Virtual School) and Stephanie Miller (Washington, D.C./St. John's College High School) in a ceremony prior to Saturday's match. Both have been vital members of the Red Flash for the last four seasons and contributed to the team's overall success.

SFU is fresh off a dominating 6-1 win over St. Francis Brooklyn this past Sunday. All five Red Flash players picked up wins in singles and both doubles teams recorded victories to secure the doubles point.

Fairleigh Dickinson is coming off a 5-0 win at Bloomsburg on Thursday. The Knights previously fell at Seton Hall, 4-0, this past Sunday. The only common opponent between SFU and FDU is Navy. Both teams dropped 6-1 decisions to the Midshipmen earlier this season.

Carnegie Mellon (9-5) is a consistently strong Division III program in the University Athletic Association. The Tartans have been on a two-week hiatus for Spring Break and will face Denison on Saturday before squaring off with the Red Flash on Sunday. CMU and SFU have both played Mount St. Mary's this season. The Tartans won 7-2 over the Mountaineers, while Saint Francis defeated Mount 5-2 earlier this season.
