Seese names Hey as assistant strength and conditioning coach

Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis head strength and conditioning coach Grant Seese named Alex Hey as assistant coach on Thursday. Hey will work directly with men's and women's volleyball, softball, field hockey and football.

"Alex Hey is an exciting addition to our strength and conditioning staff," Seese said. "Along with his experience coaching Division-I athletics, he also brings the knowledge and enthusiasm needed to implement highly effective sports performance programs. I am very much looking forward to working with Alex and growing our department together."

Hey comes to Loretto by way of Marshall where he was an assistant strength and conditioning coach working directly with volleyball, men's soccer, tennis and cheer. He also assisted with men's and women's basketball as well as women's soccer.

Hey was previously at Morehead State where he served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach from 2016-2017 before transitioning to assistant strength and conditioning coach from 2018-2019. During his time at Morehead, Hey had the opportunity to work directly with football, men's basketball, volleyball, women's soccer, track and field, men's and women's golf, coed and all-girl cheer and cross country.

A native of Bryan, Ohio, Hey received a bachelor of arts in exercise science from Morehead State in 2016. He was a four-year letter winner for the Morehead football team. Hey also received a master of arts in wellness promotion from Morehead State in 2017. He holds the CSCS certification through the NSCA.
