Men's tennis heads to Mount St. Mary's Invitational

Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis men's tennis continues the 2019 fall season at the Mount St. Mary's Invitational Sept. 13-14. The Red Flash will compete against Bucknell, Mercyhurst and Mount St. Mary's.

SFU is led by junior Sebastian Pinos (Quito, Ecuador/Compuinformatica) and freshman Andrew Teixeira (Sao Paulo, Brazil/ETEC Getúlio Vargas). The pair had a strong start to the season last week at the Bucknell Invitational. Pinos advanced to the championship match of the singles B flight before falling in two sets.

Teixeira won two of his three singles matches in flight C for his collegiate debut. The duo then teamed up to win two matches, including a come from behind victory to capture the doubles B flight championship.
