Baltimore, Md. – Saint Francis women's tennis fell to Morgan State 4-0 on Sunday at Twin Lakes Racquet Club. The Bears won three singles matches and took the doubles point to secure the overall victory.
Morgan State's Asmara Rose defeated
Lucia Seigford (Madrid, Spain/Mirasur) 6-0, 6-3 at No. 2 singles. The Bears' Ana-Lei Kalawe knocked off
Camryn Rossa (Charleston, SC/Oceanside Collegiate) 6-4, 6-1 at No. 5 singles. SFU lost at No. 6 singles by default.
In doubles, the Red Flash's
Lucia Seigford (Madrid, Spain/Mirasur) and
Romina Cutipa (Huancayo, Peru/San Juan Bosco) fell at the No. 2 position to Rose and Averiana Mitchell, 6-3. Morgan State took the doubles point by winning No. 3 by default.
Saint Francis will return to action at Lehigh on Saturday, Jan. 25.
