Somerset, N.J. - Seven Red Flash track and field performers received All-NEC accolades on Thursday for their performances at the NEC Indoor Championships.
On the men's side, freshman
Nickolas Hyde (Somerset, P.A. /Somerset) was named the league's Most Outstanding Rookie, a First Team All-Conference performer, and a member of the All-Rookie team after he won the shot put with a throw of 17.21m.
Senior
Christian McFadden (Odenton, Md./Arundel) joined Hyde on the first team after winning the 60m dash in 6.82m.
Freshman Ryan Harmon was selected to the All-Rookie team after taking sixth in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.20m.
Junior
Taylor Weaver (Butler, Pa./Butler) was SFU's lone representative on the Women's First Team after she won her third straight indoor pole vault title. She took gold with a clearance of 3.85m.
Sophomore
Mylan Crews (West Alexandria, OH./West Alexandria-Twin Valley) took silver in the 60m dash with a blistering pace of 7.67m and was joined on the Second Team by sophomore
Emily Lunger (Sayre, Pa./Athens Area) who took second in the high jump, clearing 1.67m.
Freshman
Madeline Murphy (Cresson, P.A. /Bishop Carroll ) rounded out the all-conference performers with her fourth place finish in the triple jump.
