The Saints return their leader in kills, Francisco Salinger Cenzual, who registered 168 last season. They also return their assist leader, Christos Gkitersos, block leader, Niall Burton, and Michal Podgorzak, who led the team in digs.
SCOUTING QUEENS
Queens will also play their first match of the season against Saint Francis. They are coming off a 2020 season that saw a 6-9 record with a 2-1 record in the Independent Volleyball Association. The only common opponent the Royals and the Red Flash shared was Lincoln Memorial, who both teams lost to.
The Royals return their top five in kills from last season: Tristan Santoyo, Nic Cavallaro, Josh Bragg, JP Payne, and Cody Nix. They also return their starting setter, sophomore Brandon Grabow. Nix and Santoyo also led Queens in total blocks in 2020.
