Three Red Flash Swimmers Win Multiple Events at LIU Brooklyn Meet

Three Red Flash swimmers win multiple events as Saint Francis won their contest against Saint Peters but fell to LIU Brooklyn in their second meet of the 2021 season.

 Aurem Pifarre-Planes captured victories in the 1000 freestyle and 500-yard freestyle, while Amelia Laudenbach secured first place in the 100 and 200 backstroke. Krysta Weik won the 200 breaststroke and 200 IM while Anna Bernasconi won her first collegiate individual event in the 100 freestyle.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Pifarre-Planes took first in the 1000 freestyle in a time of 10:48.14 and the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:12.65.
 
Laudenbach had a first-place finish in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 58.84 and first-place in the 200 yard backstroke with a 2:06.48 time.
 
Weik also finished first in the 200 yard breaststroke in a time of 2:27.49, and also first place in the 200 IM with a speedy time of 2:12.19.

Bernasconi was able to capture a win in the 100 yard freestyle with a quick time of 54.35.


 UP NEXT

Saint Francis will be back in action on Saturday, October 23rd when they travel to Pittsburgh to face Duquesne University.
