Women's Swimming With Four First Place Finishes At Home Meet

Four Red Flash swimmers take home first place finishes as Saint Francis won their contest against Howard but fell to LIU  in their first home meet of the 2021-22 season.

 Aurem Pifarre-Planes broke a Natatorium Pool record in the 500 freestyle for the Red Flash, while also securing first place in the 1000 freestyle!  Amelia Laudenbach captured first place in the 200 backstroke, while Krysta Weik came home with first place honors after a win in the 200 breaststroke.

Final Scores:
Saint Francis 159, Howard 83
 
LIU 144.50, Saint Francis 97.50

HOW IT HAPPENED
Pifarre-Planes set a home record-setting finish in the 500 with a time of 5:06.42, she also captured first in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:31.41.
 
Laudenbach had a first-place finish in the 200 yard backstroke with a 2:04.85 time.
 
Weik took home a first place finish in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:27.20.




 UP NEXT

Saint Francis will not be back in action until Friday, December 3rd when they travel to Central Connecticut State for the CCSU Invitational.
