ALTOONA, Pa. – The Saint Francis men's tennis team (0-2) was edged by Morgan State (1-0) on Sunday by a 3-4 margin. The Red Flash picked up the doubles point but only secured two singles points in the match.

SINGLES
Saint Francis earned points at No. 5 and No. 6 singles.
Daniel Vinces earned deciding 6-0 and 6-3 victories in No. 5 singles against Morgan State's Rankins.
Matt Blose picked up the No. 6 singles point in his Red Flash debut, beating Martial Kawunde 6-4 in straight sets.
At No. 2 singles,
Andrew Teixeira was the lone Red Flash player to push his match to three sets. After a slow start against MSU's Serhii Kharchev, dropping set one by a 1-6 margin, Teixeira took set two, 6-4. Ultimately Kharchev took the match with a 6-2 win in set three.
Christian Banti fell to Sebastian Lopez at No. 4 singles. Lopez took the first set by a 6-2 margin. Banti fought back in the second set, pushing it to extra play, but fell 6-7.
At No. 1 singles,
Sebastian Pinos lost to Nihit Rawal 2-6 and 1-6.
Jordi Garcia lost his match at No. 3 singles to Oguzhan Ceylan by a 6-2 margin in both sets.
DOUBLES
The Red Flash captured the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
Samuel Ghigiarelli and Garcia won their match first at No. 3 doubles, beating Kawunde and Rankins by a 6-2 margin.
Pinos and Teixeira fell in a close bout at No. 1 doubles to Rawal and Kharchev, 4-6.
With the doubles point on the line, Banti and Vinces closed out their No. 2 doubles match with a 7-5 win against Lopez and Leylan.
UP NEXT
The men and women travel to New York next weekend for contests at Buffalo (Feb. 13) and St. Bonaventure (Feb. 14). The men play Buffalo at 4:30 p.m. and St. Bonaventure at 10 a.m. while the women play Buffalo at 1:30 p.m. at St. Bonaventure at 2 p.m.
