TRUMBELL, Ct. – The Saint Francis women's tennis team (5-11, 2-3 NEC) dropped a 6-1 decision at Sacred Heart (5-4, 4-1 NEC) on Friday.
Nagisa Miyake earned the point for the Red Flash with a three-set win at No. 5 singles.

SINGLES
Nagisa Miyake earned the lone Red Flash point with a win at No. 5 singles. Sacred Heart's Santarsiero won the first set by a 6-1 margin but Miyake rallied to win set two by a 6-0 mark and set three by a 6-2 margin.
The No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches also needed three sets to decide. At No. 1 singles,
Dominique Yeo won the first set by a 7-6 margin but lost sets two and three by 6-1 and 10-6 margins as Golod took the match. At No. 2 singles,
Anouk Ma-Ajong won the first set against O'Toole 7-5 before dropping sets two (6-0) and three (10-8).
Marie Discini fell at No. 4 singles to SHU's Rambaldi, 7-5, 6-0. At No. 3 singles,
Romina Cutipa lost to Starastsenka in straight sets, 6-2, 6-0.
DOUBLES
Sacred Heart won at both No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to earn the doubles point, though both doubles matches required extra to decide. Yeo and Ma-Ajong teamed up at No. 1 doubles but fell 7-6 against SHU's O'Toole and Starastsenka. At No. 2 doubles, Miyake and Cutipa lost by a 7-5 margin to Rambaldi and Santarsiero.
