TRUMBELL, Ct. – The Saint Francis men's tennis team (3-13, 1-3 NEC) lost to Sacred Heart (1-6, 1-3 NEC) by a 5-2 margin on Saturday. The Red Flash earned the doubles point and the No. 1 singles point.

SINGLES
Sebastian Pinos won his No. 1 singles match against Sacred Heart's Goldstein in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.
Jordi Garcia took his No. 5 singles match to three sets with Casalduc-Pla but ultimately lost. Garcia dropped the first set 6-3 before taking set two by the same margin. Casalduc-Pla prevailed in a marathon third set, 10-3.
All other singles matches were decided in straight sets. At No. 2 singles,
Andrew Teixeira fell 7-6 in a neck-and-neck first set against Wibmer before losing 6-0 in set two.
Christian Banti was defeated by Chao at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-4. At No. 6 singles,
Matt Blose lost to Khan 6-4, 6-3.
Daniel Vinces lost his No. 4 singles match against Apostolou, 6-0, 6-2.
DOUBLES
The Red Flash won at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to capture the doubles point. At No. 2 doubles, Pinos and Vinces teamed up for a 7-6 win against Chao and Khan.
Samuel Ghigiarelli and Garcia made up the winning No. 3 doubles team, beating Apostolou and Casalduc-Pla by the same 7-6 margin. At No. 1 doubles, Teixeira and Banti dropped a 7-6 decision to Goldstein and Wibmer.
