LORETTO, Pa. - Saint Francis University football running back
Marques DeShields earned a spot on the NEC Prime Performers Week 4 list, the conference announced Monday.
DeShields, a redshirt junior, rushed for 73 yards and had five receptions for 102 yards in Saturday's 28-16 loss to Norfolk State. The 175 total offensive yards were the most by a Red Flash player this season.
The Clementon, N.J. native also had a personal season-long 46-yard rush and 46-yard reception in Saturday's game. This is DeShields' first NEC weekly selection as a member of the Red Flash.
Saint Francis returns to the field for it's final non-conference game of the season on Saturday, Oct. 2 at Morgan State at 12:00 p.m.
