» Saint Francis University indoor track & field competed at the Akron Invitation hosted by the University of Akron Feb. 4–5.
» The Red Flash had four first place finishes in their respective events by Emily Lunger (Sayre, Pa.), Brenden Miller (Millersburg, Pa.), Barry Ndeh (Burlington, N.J.) and Jasir Parker (East Stroudsburg, Pa.).
» Six Red Flashes earned spots on the Saint Francis all-time performance list.
FLASH WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD NUGGETS
Lunger won the high jump, clearing 1.70m. Lunger's jump matched her personal best and earned her the number two spot on the Saint Francis all-time list in the event.
Mylan Crews (West Alexandria, Ohio) took second in the 60m finals, clocking a time of 7.58. Crews' performance matched her personal best and the school record.
In the 60m hurdles,
Gabrielle Stanavich (Amsterdam, N.Y.) and
Maria Ferraro (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) finished with personal bests. Stanavich finished eighth in the preliminary heart, clocking a time of 9.18. Her performance elevated her from sixth to fourth on the all-time list and improved her time by 0.15. Ferraro took 12th
in the event, moving her to the 10th
all-time (9.64).
FLASH MEN'S TRACK & FIELD NUGGETS
In the weighted throw, three Red Flashes threw personal bests.
Parker Hilaman (Granville, Ohio) (15.7m),
Jared Oakes (Sunbury, Pa.) (14.95m) and
Trey Baney (Middleburg, Pa.) (14.23m). Hilaman's performance ranked him 10th all-time in the event.
Freshman
Dustin Hyde's (Somerset, Pa.) shot put was good for 16.14m. Hyde's throw earned him the sixth spot all-time in the event.
Ndeh finished first in the Blue Division of the long jump, clearing 6.76m. Ndeh's personal best jump also earned him the eighth spot in the event.
Parker finished first in the Blue Division of the triple jump, clearing 13.63m. Parker's mark put him ninth in the event.
Miller took the gold in the 3000, clocking a time of 8:49.80.

Track & field will be competing at the Susquehanna Invitational in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. This will be the final meet prior to the Northeast Conference Championships on Feb. 20-21.
