LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University football head coach Chris Villarrial has announced the hiring of Jonathan Harrison as the director of football operations. The program adds Harrison after not having a director of operations during the 2021 season.
 
Harrison spent the 2021 season as the director of operations at NCAA Division II member Ohio Dominican University. With the Panthers he oversaw day-to-day operations in areas of equipment, video, field maintenance and support staff. He worked to maintain the football budget, coordinate travel, organized and operated offseason camps and maintained social media accounts.
 
"We are excited to add Jonathan as our director of operations," said Villarrial. "He has a wealth of knowledge and creativity that will help us keep moving our program forward."
 
Prior to his time as a full-time employee, Harrison spent the 2020 season as Ohio Dominican's football operations intern. He handled practice video and set up and tore down workouts, practices and team activities, amongst other responsibilities.
 
During a five-month period from March 1 to August 28, he spent time as a football operations intern with the Arena Football League's Columbus Destroyers. He set up community events for players and attended the events as a representative of the team's front office and coaching staff. He also set up and tore down team drills, videotaping practices and arranged game tickets for home and away teams.
 
"I couldn't be more thrilled to be part of the Red Flash football family," said Harrison. "I believe coach Villarrial and the football staff have set the foundation to build something extraordinary and I'm looking forward to helping the program achieve its highest level."
 
He is a December 2020 graduate of Ohio State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education with a concentration in Sports Industry. He finished college with a 3.7 GPA and was a member of National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
 
Saint Francis begins its 15-practice spring schedule on Saturday, March 19 at 8:45 a.m. The team's full 2022 schedule was released on March 15, with game times to be announced at a later date.
