LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis open conference play in Emmitsburg, Md. where they will face LIU on Saturday, March 19 and Mount St. Mary's on Sunday, March 20.

Men's Last Time Out
Saint Francis took a shutout 7-0 defeat to Dayton in their last match on March 6. Prior to the three-game weekend against Northern Kentucky, Xavier and Dayton, the Red Flash earned their last win 5-2 over Mercyhurst on March 1.  
 
Scouting LIU
The Sharks enter Saturday's match with a 2-1 conference and 7-5 overall record this season. They took conference victories over Sacred Heart and Merrimack and lost to Bryant. LIU and Saint Francis have played no common opponents to this point in the season. Ben Brandherm serves as the team's primary No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles player and has a 7-4 record in singles and 4-6 record in doubles.

Both Mount St. Mary's and Saint Francis lost 5-2 to its only common opponent Duquesne. Giovanni Abriola leads the Mountaineers with a 10-7 record.

Women's Last Time Out
The Red Flash took a 4-3 win over Towson in their final non-conference and home match of the season. Anouk Ma-Ajong won her No. 2 singles match 6-3, 6-3 and Bente Vandeputte took a 6-4, 6-4 win in No, 3 singles. Freshman Anoek Pruijmboom took a dominant 6-0, 6-1 win in No. 4 singles and Romina Cutipa rounded out Saint Francis' wins with a 6-2, 6-2 win in No. 5 singles. Towson earned the doubles point in the match with wins in No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.
 
Scouting LIU
The Sharks enter Saturday's match with a 1-0 conference and 10-3 overall record. LIU is on a current six-match winning streak and has won nine of its past 10 matches. They took a 6-1 win over Sacred Heart to earn their first conference win of the season. Victoria Erechtchenko serves as the team's primary No. 1 singles player and carries a 5-4 record.

LIU holds a 4-1 advantage over Saint Francis and won its only match under the current rebrand. The match was a 7-0 shutout decision in 2021 played in Emmitsburg, Md. Saint Francis' win came in 2016 with a narrow 4-3 defeat of LIU.  
 
Scouting Mount St. Mary's
The Mountaineers enter the weekend with an 1-1 conference and 2-5 overall record. They took a conference win over Merrimack 5-2 and loss to Bryant 6-1. Against their only common opponent of the season, Duquesne, Saint Francis lost 5-2 and Mount St. Mary's lost 6-1. Shirley Liang leads the Mountaineers with a 9-6 singles record this season.

Saint Francis holds a 9-7 advantage over Mount St. Mary's since 2007. The Red Flash have won nine of the past 11 matchups since 2013 with one shutout victory.
