LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis face three different opponents between March 4-6. They face Northern Kentucky on Friday, Xavier on Saturday and Dayton on Sunday.

Men's Last Time Out
The Saint Francis men's tennis team was able to defeat Mercyhurst 5-2 on March 1
st at the Ebensburg Tennis Center. The Red Flash won all of their doubles matchups against the Lakers. Saint Francis won four out of their six singles matchups as
Fabio Varella,
Daniel Vinces, and
Christian Banti claimed victory in singles.
Scouting Northern Kentucky
Northern Kentucky enters the contest with a 4-3 overall record with their last matchup being a victory against Duquesne winning 4-3. Emilien Burnel and Brandon Ponomarew are the leaders in singles competition for the Norse both having 3-1 overall records. Tom Berry and Jorge Rodriguez are 4-0 in doubles competition to lead Northern Kentucky in that category.

The Red Flash are 2-2 all-time against the Norse with their last matchup being in February of 2021. Saint Francis has won two out of the last three matchups against Northern Kentucky.
Scouting Xavier
Xavier will go against Saint Francis with a 5-4 overall record coming off of two straight losses against Louisville and Indiana. Diego Nava has been outstanding for Xavier in singles with a 7-0 record for the Musketeers. Charlie Temming and Shashank Reddy lead the way in doubles with a 4-1 record for Xavier.

The meeting with Xavier will be the first in program history between the two schools. This will be the only Big East school that Saint Francis will face all season.
Scouting Dayton
Dayton comes into Sunday's contest with a 6-5 overall record and just came off a lost to Toledo. Dayton is led by Connor Bruce and Eric Perkowski who both have 10-5 overall records. In doubles, the Flyers are led by Matt DeMarco and Connor Bruce who have a 2-0 record.

The Red Flash are still searching for their first win in four contests against the Flyers. The last time the two teams faced off was February 21
st, 2021.

Women's Last Time Out
The Saint Francis women's tennis team is fresh off a 5-2 victory against the Mercyhurst Lakers on March 1

The Norse go into Saturday's matchup with a 1-4 overall record coming off of three losses in a row to Duquesne, Western Kentucky, and Dayton. In singles, Northern Kentucky is led by Maria Koo who has a 6-1 overall record for the Norse. In the doubles matches Laura Sola Grau and Koo have a 5-2 record to lead Northern Kentucky in that category.

Scouting Xavier
Xavier goes into Saturday with a 5-5 overall record with their last matchup being a win over Indiana, 5-0. In singles, the Musketeers are led by Imani Graham and Anna Smith who both have 5-3 overall records on the season. Graham and Anna Roggenburk have the best doubles record boasting a 3-1 overall record for Xavier.

This will be the first ever matchup between Xavier and Saint Francis in series history. This will be the only matchup against a Big East school for Saint Francis all season long.
Scouting Dayton
Dayton goes into Sunday's matchup with a 5-5 overall record coming off of a big win against Ohio Northern claiming victory 5-0. Elizabeth Hamilton has an even 8-8 singles record to lead the Flyers in that category. In doubles competition, Laura Greb and Erica Wojcikiewicz have a 5-3 record to lead Dayton.
