Men's Volleyball Looks to Remain Undefeated at Home

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Saint Francis University men's volleyball will be at home on Saturday, March 5 at 4:00 p.m. for a single-game conference match against The University of Charleston.
 
Saturday's match can be followed on Live Stats and streamed lived on NEC Front Row.
 
The Red Flash remain undefeated at home at 4-0. While sitting at 9-6 overall and 5-2 in conference.
 
THE WORD ON THE GOLDEN EAGLES
The Golden Eagles are currently ranked seventh in the EIVA with a 5-5 overall record and 2-4 in the conference. Charleston went 1-1 last weekend with a four-set win over Sacred Heart University. Followed by a five-set loss to the Pioneers in W. Va.
 
Lachlan Bray leads the Charleston squad in kills and ranks second in the EVIA with 86 kills on the season. Diego Villafane sits on the top for the Golden Eagles in assists with 291. While Nathan Cartier leads the team with 11 serving aces on the season.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Red Flash went 2-1 last weekend after taking a loss to the EIVA second ranked NJIT but had two straight set wins over St. Francis Brooklyn and Long Island University.
 
Blake Liprando led the Red Flash and all opponents this weekend in kills with his last kill against the Sharks securing the victory for the Red Flash. Liprando also leads the Red Flash this season in kills and digs with 153 and 86, respectively.
 
Josh Blair recorded a new single game career high of three solo blocks in the match against St. Francis Brooklyn.
 
Ryan Parker matched his single game career high of four blocks in a single game in the squad's victory over Long Island University. The setter leads his squad in assists and serving aces with 365 and 19, respectively.
 
Thomas Leahey ranks second in the EIVA with a hitting percentage of .441 on the season. Leahey leads the Red Flash this season with 47.0 blocks.
 
LAST TIME WE MET
The Red Flash hold the overall advantage against the Golden Eagles with a record of 11-4. The last time the two teams met was in the EIVA Tournament last season. Saint Francis defeated Charleston in the match over four sets.
 
UP NEXT
After Saturday's match against the Golden Eagles, the Red Flash will stay at home for a match against the Knights of Fairleigh Dickinson University on March 11 at 7:00 p.m. Followed by a game against Ohio State University on March 12 at 7:00 p.m.
