» The indoor track and field teams competed at their last indoor meet of the season at the IC4A/ECAC Championships in Boston, Massachusetts over the weekend.
» Mylan Crews (West Alexandria, Ohio) and Madeline Murphy (Cresson, Pa.) improved school records they set earlier in the season.
» Jackson Tuomey (Brunswick, Md.), Emily Lunger (Sayre, Pa.), Nickolas Hyde (Somerset, Pa.), Ardonntrell Williams (Voorhees, NJ) and Crews recorded podium finishes for the Red Flash.
» The men's team finished in fourth place with a total of 38 points. The women's team tied for 15th with Northeast Conference Champions Fairleigh Dickinson with 15 points.
FLASH WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD NUGGETS
Crews broke her own 60m dash school record, clocking a time of 7.54 and earning her second place. Crews initially set the record of 7.57 at the NEC Championships.
Jalurah Moore (Blakeslee, Pa.) tied Crews' previous record in the preliminaries. In the finals, Moore placed fifth with a time of 7.63.
In the triple jump, Murphy placed 12
th in the event with a mark of 11.80m. Murphy improved her school record by half an inch. Murphy initially set the record at the VMI Winter Relays.
Lunger took the bronze in the high jump, ranking her second all-time for Saint Francis in the event and matching her personal best (1.70m).
FLASH MEN'S NUGGETS
Hyde captured his first IC4A/ECAC Championship in the shot put with a mark of 17.25m.
Dustin Hyde (Somerset, Pa.) took fifth in the event with a personal best of 16.34m and secured his sixth place Saint Francis all-time ranking.
Tuomey cleared 5.00m in the pole vault to tie his school record and to finish second.
Williams placed third in the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.91, improving his personal best by 0.03. Williams ranks second on the Saint Francis all-time list in the event.
The men's distance medley relay team of
Zachary Kohler (Warriors Mark, Pa.),
Barry Ndeh (Burlington, N.J.),
Matthew Berzonsky (Indiana, Pa.) and
Tobias Jones (Grove City, Pa.) took fifth with a time of 9:57.71, moving them from fourth to second all-time for Saint Francis in this event. The team's performance was the fastest time by a Saint Francis men's distance medley relay team in 17 years. The team is twelve seconds behind the SFU record time of 9:45.57 set by AJ Suravicz, Liam Smith, Andrew Maloney and Pat Quinn in 2005.
Ndeh placed seventh in the triple jump with a personal best mark of 14.40m. Ndeh's mark is a nine-inch improvement from his previous personal best and moves him to fourth all-time in the event.
In the high jump,
Taemar Willis (York, Pa.) and Ndeh cleared season best marks of 1.96m. Willis finished sixth and Ndeh finished eighth.
