The Saint Francis University men's volleyball squad will compete in its last regular season match by taking on the Golden Eagles of The University of Charleston in W.Va., on Saturday, April 16 at 5:00 p.m.

THE WORD ON THE GOLDEN EAGLES
The University of Charleston most recently defeated Harvard University in back-to-back matches last weekend. The Golden Eagles defeated the Crimson in four sets on Friday and in five sets on Saturday.
Lachlan Bray led the way for the Golden Eagles with 29 kills and 20 digs on the weekend. Despite last week's victories, The University of Charleston did not clinch a spot in the EIVA Tournament. The squad sits at 8-13 overall and 4-10 in the EIVA.
LAST TIME OUT
The Red Flash most recently completed a series sweep at home over NJIT and St. Francis Brooklyn to clinch a spot in the EIVA Tournament. The squad came back to defeat NJIT over five sets and claimed the victory over St. Francis Brooklyn in straight sets on senior night for
Joshua Blair and
Zac Cabral.
Nathan Zini was the leader for the Red Flash last week to collect a weekend total of 40 kills, seven service aces and 12 digs over 72 total attacks to earn EIVA Offensive Player of the Week. In the victory over NJIT, Zini reached a new career best in four statistical categories with 22 kills, four service aces, 40 total attacks and seven digs. The Freshman continued to lead the Red Flash over St. Francis Brooklyn with 18 kills on the day.
Blair and
Thomas Leahey continue to stand at second and third, respectively in the EIVA with their hitting parentages. Blair has a season hitting percentage of .423 and Leahey stands at .417 on the season.
LAST TIME WE MET
The Red Flash and Golden Eagles last competed against one another earlier in the season in Loretto, Pa. Saint Francis men's volleyball defeated Charleston in that match over four sets. Charleston won the first set, but the Red Flash rallied back to claim the next three sets for the victory.
The Red Flash hold the overall record to the Golden Eagles at 11-4 overall. Additionally, Saint Francis men's volleyball has defeated Charleston in their last four meetings.

After Saturday's match to the Golden Eagles, the Red Flash will turn its attention to the First Round of the EIVA Tournament on Wednesday, April 20. Opponent and match time are TBA.
