LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University football quarterback Justin Sliwoski was invited to join the Manning Passing Academy from June 23-26 at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La.
 
Sliwoski, a Greensburg, Pa. native, was one of 24 quarterbacks invited to the camp in their first three waves of invitations. Sliwoski and Dartmouth's Nick Howard were the only two Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) quarterbacks invited to the camp. Alabama's Bryce Young, Pitt's Kedon Slovis, Oregon's Ty Thompson, South Carolina's Spencer Rattler and Penn State's Sean Clifford are amongst the top college quarterbacks invited to the camp.
 
"I was honored to be selected for the event, being with the big-name quarterbacks attending," said Sliwoski. "This will give me a chance to come back to Saint Francis with some qualities from their game. I was honored when Archie Manning personally called me and invited me."
 
The Manning Passing Academy has helped players fully realize their potential on and off the field for the past 25 years. "We gather some of the most successful and brightest coaches and players from the professional, college and high school ranks to help all campers learn from the best," Manning, the founder, said in a memo on the camp website.
 
The redshirt junior led the Northeast Conference with 12.9 passing yards per completion, 8.4 passing yards per attempt and a 162.2 passing efficiency during the 2021 season. He paced Saint Francis with a 64.6 completion percentage, 1,165 passing yards and 12 passing touchdowns.
 
"We're able to have workouts with Payton and Eli Manning, so that's something I'll look forward to being part of and seeing how they operate and command the football," said Sliwoski. "Some of the college quarterbacks have won national championships and will be first round picks, so I'm going to take anything I can from them and bring that back here to help us succeed at Saint Francis."
 
Saint Francis is set to conclude its 2022 spring schedule on Thursday, April 28 with its Spring Game at 6:15 p.m. The 2022 season is set to begin on Thursday, September 1 at Akron with the kickoff time to be announced.
