LORETTO, Pa. – Former Saint Francis men's basketball player Tom Fox was inducted into the St. Ignatius Athletics High School Hall of Fame on Saturday.
Fox, a 2000 graduate of Saint Francis, registered 738 points and 438 rebounds in his career at Saint Francis. In his final two seasons, Fox led the team in rebounding after Eric Taylor, a 2022 Saint Francis University Athletics Hall of Famer, graduated. Fox also led the team in scoring in 1999-00 with 10.9 points per game.
Fox, a 1995 graduate of St. Ignatius, was a standout on boys basketball and boys track and field teams. Fox averaged 20.6 points and 11.2 rebounds per game in his senior year at St. Ignatius and set the record for blocked shots in his junior campaign. He also averaged 13.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game for the district title team.
Fox has been a social studies teacher in Altoona for the last 22 years.
