(Holland, Pa./YSC Academy) scored the game winning goal off of an assist from freshman
(Stuttgart, Germany /Schickhardt-Gymnasium Stuttgart) in the 76th minute.
The Red Flash and the Bonnies came into the second half scoreless.
Patrick Heron (Lauder, Scotland/ Earlston) led the offensive attack with a shot on goal four minutes into the half. Heron's shot proved to give The Red Flash the momentum they needed. The squad recorded 10 shots and seven on goal, including Smolyn's game winner.

Alexios Rodriguez (Silver Springs, MD/ DeMatha Catholic) pushed The Red Flash offensive efforts early with two shots on goal in the 3rd and 22nd minutes of the match.

Freshman Goalkeeper
Jordaine Jaeger (Munich, Germany/ Gymnasium Neubiberg) registered three saves in his first collegiate start, one of which was an extra effort save in the 47th minute of the match.

Five freshmen saw action in the season opener, including four who remained on the pitch for more than 45 minutes.

The Red Flash held the advantage over the Bonnies in total shots (13-6) and shots on goal (8-3). Eight different Saint Francis players contributed to the 13 shots taken during the match.
