LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis are set to face Navy in the spring season opener for the second straight year on Saturday, Jan. 21.

Women's Tennis Quick Hits
Saint Francis carries a 1-1 record into the spring season after 5-2 win over Binghamton and 6-1 loss at Buffalo to conclude the fall season.
Kelly Dowuona and
Bente Vandeputte both carried a team-high 8-6 singles record during the fall season. Dowuona carried a team-high 9-5 doubles record, followed closely by
Anoek Pruijmboom's 8-4 mark. Five other players carried at least a .500 record in doubles during the fall season. Dowuona was named Northeast Conference Women's Tennis Rookie of the Month in September and Vandeputte was named an NEC Prime Performer in October.
Scouting Navy
Navy enters Saturday's match with an 0-2 record after losses to Samford, 5-2, and Alabama, 6-1, to begin the spring season. Through the fall season, Sia Chaudry led the team with a 10-5 singles record, while Emily Tannenbaum led doubles with an 11-5 mark.
All-Time vs. Navy
Navy holds a 12-0 record over Saint Francis since the first meeting in 2010. The closest match was a 5-2 Saint Francis defeat in 2017. The most recent match, last season, was a 6-1 Navy victory. The two programs have faced each other in every season since the first match except 2021.

Men's Tennis Quick Hits
Men's tennis did not have any head-to-head matches in the fall season and enter the spring with no team record. During the fall,
Matt Kozar finished with a team-high 10-3 record followed by
Adam Kush's 9-3 and
Patrick Reese's 7-2 record. 10 of the 12 Saint Francis players that competed in the fall finished with at least a .500 record. Kozar also led the team with an 8-4 doubles record, followed by
Jordi Garcia's 7-3 mark. During his Saint Francis debut at the Bucknell Invitational, Kush won all-four singles matches and was the Men's "A" Bracket Champion. Kozar was named an NEC Prime Performer in September.
Scouting Navy
Navy enters Saturday's match with an 0-2 record this spring after back-to-back losses to Dartmouth 5-2 and 7-0. Sasha Panyan has a team-high 8-3 singles record and is on a current seven-match winning streak. Caleb Miller leads the Midshipmen with a 7-3 doubles record.
All-Time vs. Navy
Navy holds a 1-8 record over Saint Francis since the first match in 2011. Saint Francis' only victory came in 2016 with a narrow 4-3 victory. Navy took a 6-1 victory over Saint Francis last season, which marked the first meeting between the programs since 2018.
