LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University football's
Carter Glassmyer was named Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced on Monday. Glassmyer was joined by
Cole Doyle,
Jordan Jackson and
Dawson Snyder as NEC Prime Performers.

Glassmyer had a game-high 11 total tackles (seven solo) and added 1.5 tackles for loss and one sack in a 31-7 victory over Wagner. He guided a Saint Francis defense that allowed a season-low 106 rushing yards against. The Red Flash also held their opponent scoreless in a half for the second straight game.

The redshirt freshman has 40 total tackles (24 solo), five tackles for loss and two sacks in three conference games this season. He leads the conference with 52 total tackles this season despite only recording 12 through the first three games of the season. He is 42nd in the FCS with 8.7 tackles per game.

Doyle, a redshirt junior, went 13-of-24 with 161 passing yards, three touchdowns, one interception and added four rushes for 71 yards. The game was Doyle's second with three touchdowns during the conference season. He is second in the NEC with 169.7 passing yards per game and 10 passing touchdowns.

Jackson, a redshirt sophomore, had 19 carries for a career-high 128 rushing yards in the victory over Wagner. His rushing yards were the most by a Red Flash player this season, which was previously 80 yards by
Damon Horton. Jackson shattered his previous career-high of 75 rushing yards.

Snyder, a redshirt junior, recorded six catches for a season-high 110 receiving yards and one touchdown. He sits atop the NEC with 393 receiving yards and is top-five with 22 receptions and 18 yards per reception. His 66 receiving yards per game is top-50 in the FCS.

Glassmyer has earned an NEC Defense Player of the Week honor in back-to-back weeks that Saint Francis played. He is the only current Red Flash player to earn at least one honor in his respective career. Doyle earned the seventh Prime Performer of his career, while Snyder earned his fourth. Jackson's Prime Performer was the first of his collegiate career.
