WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>>The Red Flash beat LIU in four sets (25-22, 25-14, 15-25, 25-22), finishing the 2023 regular season 10-4 in conference play and 15-10 overall.

>>Saint Francis was led by Korrin Burns (Clarion, Pa.) in kills with 18.

TURNING POINT
After winning the third set, LIU continued to play strong in the fourth set before Saint Francis could come out on top. With a 23-22 score, a long ball by the Sharks set up match point for the Red Flash. On an assist by Alexandra Sappia (West Palm Beach, Fla.), Burns sent a hard ball to the Sharks side, hitting the hand of their libero before hitting the floor.

FLASH MOMENTS
A six-point run by Saint Francis set the tone in the opening set. Up 10-7, a service error by LIU began the run. On the following serve, Skye Eicher (Rostraver Township, Pa.) tallied an ace. Pulling further ahead on an attack error by the Sharks, Eicher again scored on the serve. Aubrey Deptula (Boca Raton, Fla.) and Kori McClure (Westerville, Ohio) recorded a block before McClure found a hole in the middle of the Sharks' side, ending the run with a 16-7 lead.

With a 22-14 lead in set two, errors by LIU created set point for Saint Francis. After a lengthy rally, McClure sailed the ball past the Sharks to win the second set.

FLASH NUGGETS
Emma Fenton (Latrobe, Pa.) tallied three service aces.

Drew Wallech (Hagerstown, Md.) tallied one solo and two assisted blocks.

On top of leading the Red Flash in kills, Burns lead the team in digs with 18 and earning a double-double.
