Swimming to Compete Against NEC-Opponent Howard Friday Afternoon

THE WORD ON HOWARD
The Red Flash are 8-2 when competing against the Bison. Howard is currently 1-2 on the season.

Top competitors for Howard include Samyra Benoit, Jordynn Connell, Skylar Debnam, Jasmine Morgan, Zuilda Nwaeze, Chanice Posada and Michaela Spears.

LAST TIME WE MET HOWARD
We last faced Howard at the NEC Championship meet last season. Howard placed fourth with 498 points while Saint Francis took fifth with a score of 392.5.

In the Red Flash's last non-championship meet against the Bison, Saint Francis won 159-83 in a tri-meet with Howard and LIU.

In the meet, Aurem Pifarre won the 500-yard freestyle, setting a pool record with a time of 5:06.42. She also won the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:31.41. Millie Laudenbach won the 200-yard backstroke, clocking in at 2:04.85. Krysta Weik won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:27.20.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Flash hosted Siena last Saturday, winning 13 of 14 events for a final score of 176-86.

Bridget Kurtzweil, Krysta Weik, Sara Turner and Oksana Horova won the 400-yard medley relay and set a pool record with a time of 3:56.98. Anna Bernasconi, Natalie Glessner, Oksana Horova, Bridget Kurtzweil, Inde Patterson, Aurem Pifarre and Sara Turner all picked up individual wins. To close out the meet, Horova, Reegan Brown, Kathryn Tanis and Bernasconi won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:37.36.

Pifarre and Turner earned Prime Performer recognition for their performances, with Pifarre also winning NEC Co-Swimmer of the Week.

UP NEXT
Saint Francis will be on the road again next weekend, taking part in the Liberty Invite with California (PA), Campbell and Liberty. The meet will take place in Lynchburg, Va. and take place over the entire weekend. Preliminary heats will begin at 10 a.m. on each day. Friday and Saturday's finals will take place at 6 p.m. with Sunday's finals beginning at 5 p.m.
