Somerset, NJ -- Saint Francis University outdoor track and field's
Ardonntrell Williams was named Northeast Conference Track Athlete of the Week and
Ethan Stroup was named NEC Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.

Gabrielle Stanavich,
Carly Sedun,
Parker Hilaman and
Julian Saunders were named Prime Performers along with Williams and Stroup.

Williams, a native of Vorhees, N.J., won the 110m hurdles at the Trojan Challenge over the weekend with a time of 13.94. The junior become the second Saint Francis man to break 14 seconds in the event. He currently ranks 10th in the NCAA East Region. Williams was also a part of the victorious 4x100m relay team of Saunders, Baker and Niang that ranks second all-time (41.02.). He also made his debut in the 100m dash (10.88).

Stroup, a native of Altoona, Pa., took first in the javelin with a mark of 57.75m. The freshman ranks seventh SFU all-time in the event.

Hilaman, a native of Granville, Ohio, placed second in the hammer throw with a mark of 53.44m. His mark ranks fifth SFU all-time.

Saunders took third in the 200m dash with a time of 21.63. The sophomore's time ranks eighth all-time. In the 100m dash preliminaries, Saunders ran a 10.73 to rank fifth all-time. The Boyertown, Pa. native was a part of the winning 4x100m relay.

Murphy, a native of Cresson, Pa., won the triple jump with a mark of 11.89m. The senior also competed in the long jump taking third (5.71m).

Stanavich, a native of Amsterdam, N.Y., placed first in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.52. The junior was also a part of the second place 4x400m relay team of
Rhoda Alaban-Tafon,
Emma Fleck and
Monica Gregg (4:05.89).

Sedun, a native of Elizabethtown, Pa., took fourth in the hammer throw with a mark of 49.46m. Sedun's mark ranks her 10th all-time. The sophomore placed eighth in the discus (37.82m).

The men and women teams both earned team titles in North Carolina.

The track and field teams will compete at the Virginia Quadrangular Saturday, April 1.
