>> Saint Francis University men's volleyball will continue conference action at home this week after having a week off. The team will host St. Francis Brooklyn on Thursday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m. and FDU on Friday, March 10 at 6:00 p.m.

THE WORD ON THE TERRIERS
The Terriers come into Thursday's matchup 5-7 overall and 2-1 in the NEC. The team most recently took a five-set thrilling loss to Harvard in Cambridge, MA. The team's two conference wins this season came against FDU and D'Youville. The Terriers' loss at Harvard was the team's first five-set competition this season.
Patrick Rogers leads St. Francis Brooklyn as an outside hitter with 105 kills this season and notching 14 service aces. Matt Mongin leads the team as the setter with 247 assists. Nicola Iannelli and Canyon Tuman stand out on the defensive end. Iannelli with 81 digs and Tuman with 23.0 total blocks on the season.
LAST TIME WE MET THE TERRIERS
The last time the Red Flash and Terriers met was as EIVA opponents last season. The Red Flash won both games against St. Francis Brooklyn last season in straight sets. Saint Francis leads in the overall series at 3-0 against the Terriers.
THE WORD ON THE KNIGHTS
FDU comes into the weekend 4-8 overall and 1-4 in the NEC. The team's one conference win this season came against Merrimack in five sets. Most recently, FDU fell to Princeton in straight sets in N.J.
Jack Lydon leads the team in kills this season with 97, while Rui Fernandes leads the Knights as the setter with 334 assists on the season. Grady Hoffman and Naveen Fernando lead FDU on the defensive end, Hoffman with 86 kills and Fernando with 30.0 total blocks this season.
LAST TIME WE MET THE KNIGHTS
The Red Flash holds the overall advantage against the Knights at 2-0. The two teams met earlier this season in Teaneck, N.J. for the first ever NEC men's volleyball game. Saint Francis has defeated Fairleigh Dickinson in straight sets in both matches played.
LAST TIME OUT
The Red Flash come into the weekend 4-9 overall and 3-1 in the NEC. The team had last week off, but prior to that Saint Francis had a weekend NEC sweep at home by taking down Sacred Heart and Merrimack.
Trevor Lewis and
Brandon Dunz led the way for the Red Flash against the Pioneers and Warriors for Lewis to earn his first ever NEC Player of the Week title and Dunz to be named NEC Defensive Player of the Week for the third time. Lewis led the Red Flash offensively on the weekend by posting 17 kills and three service aces in just the six sets played. Dunz led the Red Flash defensively this week by posting 9.0 total blocks over the weekend.
UP NEXT
The Red Flash will compete in a three-game road non-conference stanza next weekend. The team will head to Charlotte, N.C. to take on Queens on Wednesday, March 15 at 5:00 p.m. and then take on NJIT at Queens on Thursday, March 16 at 5:00 p.m. The Red Flash will then return to Pa. to take on former EIVA foe, Penn State on Saturday, March 18 at 7:00 p.m. in State College.
