>> The Saint Francis University men's golf travels to the Wright State Invitational on Sunday and Monday. It will be the third-straight year the Red Flash will compete in the event.
>> The Red Flash will join host Wright State along with Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy,. Eastern Illinois, Green Bay, Murray State, Ohio Dominican, Robert Morris, Southern Indiana and Youngstown State. Dayton will have individuals in the event.
William & Mary, Lafayette, Navy, Princeton, St. Bonaventure, Towson and Villanova in the event.
>> Teams will compete in 36 holes on Sunday and 18 holes on Wednesday.
LAST TIME AT THAT EVENT
Marc-Antoine Hotte (Mascouche, Quebec) sits in 20th place after the first two rounds of the Wright State Invitational on April 17, 2022. The final round was cancelled due to the weather. Hotte shot a 76 in the first round and a 75 in the second round to post a two-round score of 151, nine strokes behind the leader after 36 holes. He had a birdie on No. 17 in the opening round and another on No. 11 in the second round. J.W. Cunningham is two strokes behind Hotte in 25th place. Just like Hotte, Cunningham had a 76 in the opening round and then registered a 77 in the second round for a two-round score of 153. Cunningham had three birdies in the first round on No. 5, 7 and 13. Nathan Godbout (46th place, 157), Luke Minsky (76th place, 168), Avery Papalia (80th place, 171) and Joseph Pisarcik (82nd place, 172) rounded out the Red Flash team players. Alex Kiepert (80th place, 171) competed in the event as an individual. The Red Flash shot a 311 in the first round and a 313 in the second round for a 36-hole total of 624 to sit in 10th place.
LAST TIME ON THE TEE
Toby Webb placed 39th to pace the Saint Francis men's golf team at the Jewell on Tuesday. Webb shot a 74 in the final round after posting a 74 in the opening round and a 75 in the second round of the day on Monday to finish 10-over par with a total of 223. Avery Papalia (45th place, 224), Jackson Hoey (48th place, 225), Nathan Godbout (62nd place, 230) and Luke Minsky (64th place, 231) rounded out the five team competitors. Kyle McClintock (79th place, 242) participated in the event as an individual. The Red Flash posted a 298 in the opening round, a 299 in the second round and a 301 in the final round to finish with a score of 898 in 10th place.

Saint Francis heads to the NEC Championships on April 30-May 2.

Toby Webb and
Kyle McClintock join the team for the 2022-23 season. Webb made his collegiate debut at the Turning Stone Intercollegiate, while MCClintock made his debut at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational.
COMING OFF A GREAT FINISH LAST SEASON
Saint Francis finished second at the Northeast Conference Men's Golf Championships in May to notch the best team finish since 2013. The squad finished second at the league championships for the fifth time in program history.
Luke Minsky returns to the team after finishing seventh.
