Williams Competes at NCAA East Preliminary Round

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Saint Francis University outdoor track and field's Ardonntrell Williams competed at the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round at University of North Florida's Hodges Stadium Wednesday evening.
 
Williams posted a time of 14.02 in the first round of the 110m hurdles, placing 35th. The Voorhees, N.J. native improved upon two places from his finish last season in the preliminary round.
   
Williams concludes his illustrious Saint Francis career with a plethora of accomplishments. This year he re-wrote the SFU 60m hurdles record with a time of 7.74. That was the 30th fastest time in the country in NCAA Division I this year. He was a part of the school record 4x100m relay team with a time of 40.86. He ranks second SFU all-time in the 110m hurdles with a time of 13.94. He also ranks third all-time for SFU in the long jump indoors (23' 7.25") and eighth outdoors (22' 10.75"). Along with his program records, Williams has had three individual Northeast Conference Championship podium finishes outdoors, and two indoors. He has earned two individual conference titles and was a part of two conference championship relay teams. Additionally, he was named All-East five times. Finally, he was a two-time NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field East Preliminary qualifier in 2022 and 2023.
 
Madeline Murphy will compete in the women's triple jump Saturday at 6 p.m.
