NEW ORLEANS – The Saint Francis University men's and women's track and field teams and two individual student-athletes earned All-Academic honors, the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced Thursday.

Madeline Murphy represented the women's team as an individual honoree, while
Ardonntrell Williams represented the men's team.
Â
In order for a team to be named All-Academic, all members of the roster must post a collective grade point average above 3.0. In order for individual student-athletes to earn the honor, they must have a cumulative GPA above 3.25 and reach at least the NCAA provisional qualifying standard in at least one event during the indoor or outdoor seasons.

The Red Flash women recorded a 3.618 GPA, while the men's team posted a GPA of 3.142.

Williams earned his second consecutive All-Academic honor, while Murphy was recognized for the first time.

Murphy, a native of Cresson, Pa., earned All-Academic honors for her performance in the triple jump. She finished 39th at the NCAA East Preliminary Round in May. Murphy graduated with a 3.83 GPA as a biology major.

Williams, a native of Voorhees, NJ, was honored for his performance in the 110m hurdles. He finished 37th at the NCAA East Preliminary Round. Williams graduated with a 3.838 GPA in accounting.

The men's and women's track and field teams have earned the distinction every year since 2015.
