BUFFALO, N.Y – Saint Francis University women's tennis plays their first dual matches of the season when they play Buffalo and NEC foe Binghamton on Saturday, Oct. 5.
Women's Tennis Quick Hits
Saint Francis comes into the year building upon a season in which they went 12-12 overall and 4-1 in conference play.
Dasha Chichkina and Diana Zuba have been the standouts so far this fall for Saint Francis. Chichkina sits at 9-1 in singles and Zuba is 9-2. They are both 9-4 in doubles as well, being paired together all fall.
Kally Kadzinski has jumped out to an 8-3 start in singles and is 11-3 in doubles alongside partner Kelly Dowuona.
Chichkina, Dowuona, Kadzinski and Zuba were all named NEC Prime Performers for the month of September. Chichkina was named NEC Rookie of the Month for September as well.
Scouting Buffalo
Buffalo enters the match with a 2-0 record after picking up wins over local rivals Niagara and St. Bonaventure on Sept. 23.
The Bulls have not lost a singles match all fall, only losing the doubles point to St. Bonaventure in their match.
All-Time vs. Buffalo
Saint Francis have never beaten Buffalo, dropping all five of their previous matches. The two teams last met on Oct. 28, 2023 in a match Buffalo won 6-1.
Scouting Binghamton
Binghamton have not yet played a dual match, so their match with Saint Francis will be their first of the season.
Valeria Gonzalez has won matches over players from FDU, St. Bonaventure and St. Lawrence. Clara Arbeloa Lopez won the Flight B consolation final at NEC Individuals.
Binghamton won six of their seven doubles matches against St. Lawrence.

Saint Francis have beaten Binghamton in both of the matches they have ever played. The two teams last met on Oct. 28, 2023 in a match the Red Flash won 7-0.
