Men's and Women's Tennis Win All Three Matches in Second Consecutive Weekend Sweep

LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis teams won all three of their matches on Sunday. The men's team won their third match in a row with a 5-2 victory over Colgate, while the women's team defeated both Colgate and Frostburg State 7-0 to climb back to .500 on the season at 5-5. 

The three match winning streak by the men's team is the longest since 2016.  

Women's: Saint Francis 7, Colgate 0.  

Doubles 
The Red Flash claimed the doubles point with 6-1 and 6-3 wins from the No. 2 and 3 slots respectively. Reagen Mangan and Sara Jankovic won a tight match in the No. 2 match that was decided by a tiebreaker, while the tandem of Kally Kadzinski and Kelly Dowuona won their fourth consecutive doubles contest with a 6-1 victory in the No. 3 spot. 

The pair improved to 6-2 on the year with the win, and Dowuona picked up her 11th doubles victory on the season and Kadzinski picked up her ninth 

Singles 
Saint Francis won all six singles matches against the Raiders. 

Dowuona's 6-1, 6-1 win improves her record to 10-4 on the year in singles. The sophomore has now won her last eight matches overall 

Mangan's 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 win was her third in a row and improves her singles record to 8-6. 

Kadzinski has also won three singles matches in a row and ninth in a row. 

Diana Zuba's 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 win was her 13th on the season, the best mark on the team. 

Men's: Saint Francis 5, Colgate: 2.  

Doubles 
The Red Flash won all three of their singles matches against the Raiders.  

Tyler Nguyen's 6-2 win with Mathis Tremblay from the No. 1 slot marked his 12th doubles win on the season, a team best. 

Singles 

Saint Francis swept the singles matches as well to seal the shutout victory.  

Alan Gonzalez's 6-4, 6-2 win from the No. 3 spot was his marked a team best 11th singles win on the season. 

Marc Fuste, Nguyen, Gonzalez, Tremblay, Kevin Kruzel and Gregory Troyan all claimed singles wins in this match. 

Women's: Saint Francis 7, Frostburg State 0.  

Doubles 
The Red Flash claimed victories in the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches with 6-1, 6-2 and 6-1.  

Dowuona and Kadzinski won from the No. 1 slot and have now won five matches in a row as a tandem. Dowuona and Kadzinski have now won 11 and 10 matches in a row respectively 

Mallory Thomas and Nagisa Miyake each earned a 6-1 win from the No. 3 slot. Miyake has won her last eight matches overall, and won her sixth doubles matches of the season. 

Singles 
Saint Francis once again won all six singles contests against Frostburg State, making it a perfect 12 for 12 in singles on the afternoon. All six matches were won in straight sets. 

Zuba, Kadzinski, Valeria Vinces, Marie Discini, Miyake and Gretta Rhodes all claimed victories 

Zuba's 6-4, 7-6 win puts her at a team best 13-5 in singles on the season. 
 
Next 

Both Red Flash squads will head out to the Ohio Valley in two weeks for road contests against Northern Kentucky and Dayton.
