LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis will head up to New England this weekend for two conference matches each. Both teams will play Stonehill in North Easton, Mass. on Saturday and Sacred Heart in Fairfield, Conn. on Sunday. 
 
Women's Tennis Quick Hits 
Saint Francis heads into the weekend with a 7-9 record on the year and a 2-0 record in the NEC. Diana Zuba currently leads the Red Flash and the Northeast Conference in singles wins with a 17-5 record on the year. The most recent NEC Player and Rookie of the Week is 10-3 from the No. 1 position in dual matches this season and has won her last six singles contests. 

Nagisa Miyake has the next best singles record on the team with an 11-4 mark on the year. 

Kelly Dowuona leads the team in doubles wins on the season with a 14-9 record. Sara Jankovic is right behind her with a 13-9 doubles record.  

 
Scouting Stonehill 
The Skyhawks are 2-14 entering the match and 1-2 in the NEC. 

Madison Warren and Camila Z. Rodriguez lead Stonehill in singles wins with four apiece. 

Anneliese Beltran and Julie Holte are the top doubles tandem for the Skyhawks, sitting at 10-6 on the year. 

 
All-Time vs. Stonehill 
Saint Francis and Stonehill met for the first time last season in a match that saw the Red Flash secure a 7-0 shutout victory. Miyake, Dowuona and Valeria Vinces all won both their singles and doubles matches. 

Scouting Sacred Heart  
Sacred Heart is 10-3 on the year and off to a 3-0 start in the NEC.  

Katsiaryna Starastsenka leads both the Pioneers and the NEC in singles winning percentage with a mark of .882. The NEC Player of the Month for February is 15-2 on the season. 

Ciara O'Toole has the next best singles record on the team at 11-5. 

Starastsenka and Kim Fenton are the top doubles pair for Sacred Heart with a 10-2 record when teaming together. 

 
All-Time vs. Sacred Heart 
Saint Francis is 4-7 all time against the Pioneers. They dropped last year's meeting by a score of 5-2. Valeria Vinces won her match from the No. 5 position 6-2, 7-5 (5-0). 
 
Men's Tennis Quick Hits 
Saint Francis enters their matches this week at 5-5 on the season and 1-0 in the NEC. Alan Gonzalez leads the Red Flash in singles competition this year with an 14-6 record and has won five of his last six singles matches. 

Tyler Nguyen holds the next best singles record for Saint Francis at 10-6. 

Kevin Kruzel and Nguyen are tied for the team lead in doubles wins with 12 each.  

Scouting Stonehill 
The Skyhawks are 4-8 overall and 1-2 in the NEC entering their matchup with the Red Flash.  

Jacob Borch-Nielsen leads Stonehill in singles wins with a 10-8 record on the year. Borch-Nielsen and Mark Kroll are the top doubles pair for the Skyhawks with a 4-2 record this season. 

All-Time vs. Stonehill 

Saturday will mark the first time that Saint Francis and Stonehill have ever met. Saint Francis beat the other NEC team they had never met before, Le Moyne, 5-2 back on Feb. 4. 

Scouting Sacred Heart
Sacred Heart holds a 3-10 record on the year and are 2-1 in the NEC. The Pioneers will meet Binghamton on Saturday before they see the Red Flash. 

Lefteri Apostolou leads Sacred Heart in singles wins so far this season with a 7-6 record. Darius Eftekhar and Matyas Vencl are the top doubles tandem for the Pioneers at 7-6 on the season. 

All-Time vs. Sacred Heart 

Saint Francis trails Sacred Heart 5-4 in the all-time series between the two schools. In their last meeting, Sacred Heart won a tight 4-3 match. Marc Fuste earned the Red Flash a point from the No. 2 position with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win.

Both squads will return home for the first time in six weeks to host Merrimack on Mar. 23 at 11: 00 a.m., the men will play at Gorilla House Gym in Altoona and the women will play at Ebensburg Tennis Center in Altoona.
