FLASH WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD NUGGETSÂ
On the women's side, there were four event victories and 31Â top-10 performances.
The 4x100 relay team of Rhoda Alaban-Tafon, Paige Drake, Maria Ferraro, and Sydney Rush finished first with a time of 49.74.
Anna Quackenbush took home first in the 1500m with a time of 4:54.94. Claire Oliver(5:10.09) and Morgan Rothrock(5:23.93) finished third and fourth in the event respectively.
Carly Sedun placed first in hammer throw with a mark of 48.80m. She also took third in discus with a throw of 36.72m.
Marlena Jacobs finished first in pole vault with a clearance of 3.68m (12' 0.75").
Three members of the relay team participated in the 100m dash. Rush placed second with a time of 12.78, Drake clocked in a time of 13.08 to finish seventh, and Alaban-Tafon followed behind in eighth with a time of 13.10.
Tesslyn Helms and Naomi Hillen finished second and third in the 800m dash with times of 2:22.34 and 2:22.97. Hailey Prestash, with a time of 2:29.82, took ninth. Â
Gabriella del Pielago placed second in the 200m dash with a time of 26.17. She also clocked in a time of 12.84 in the 100m dash to take fourth.
Maria Ferraro took second in the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.08.
In the 400m dash, Mariclare Anderson took third with a time of 59.50. Emma Fleck(1:00.13) and Monica Gregg(1:01.35) placed sixth and seventh.
Taylor Foster took third in long jump with a mark of 5.11m (16' 9.25"). Rush continued to rack up top-10 finishes in long jump, finishing with a jump of 5.01m (16' 5.25"). Gianna Anderson placed 10th with a mark of 4.68m (15' 4.25").
Foster also finished fifth in long jump with a mark of 10.44m (34' 3"). In the same event, Brooke Long tallied a jump of 11.11m (36' 5.50") to take second. Azjia Gardner finished behind Foster in sixth with a mark of 10.19m (33' 5.25").
Josilyn Wehner and Margaret Fox took fifth and sixth in javelin with throws of 35.06m and 32.62m. Carmela Petrignani finished 10th in the same event with a mark of 29.42m.
Brooke Alexander finished seventh in hammer throw with a mark of 37.87m. She finished with the same placement in shot put with a throw of 10.47m (34' 4.25").
Saige Wilt recorded a jump of 1.45m to take seventh in high jump.
FLASH MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD NUGGETS
The men's team had two first place finishes and six top-10 placements in total.
Julian Saunders finished first in the 100m dash for the second week in a row with a time of 11.02. He beat out runner up Myron Holland by .005 seconds. Bryce Baker placed fourth in the same event, clocking in a time of 11.17.
The 4x100 relay team of Baker, Saunders, Jadon Kendrick, and Steve Combary took first with a time of 43.25.
Seamus Girdusky took seventh in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.51.
Cam Wagner finished fifth in discus with a throw of 43.91m. Joseph Sevison followed behind in eighth with a mark of 41.87m.
