Annapolis, Md. – Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis start 2025 by paying a visit to Navy for dual matches. The women's match is scheduled for 2 p.m. and the men's match is scheduled for 5 p.m.
The match will be the first dual contest for the men and the third dual match for the women.
Women's Tennis Quick Hits
Saint Francis is 1-1 after splitting dual matches up in Buffalo back on Oct. 5. The Red Flash fell 5-2 to Buffalo and swept NEC foe Binghamton 7-0.
Dasha Chichkina and Diana Zuba are the top performers entering the match. Chichkina went 11-3 in singles during the fall and Zuba went 11-4. They are both 10-8 as a doubles team and were the NEC's representative at the inaugural ITA Conference Masters tournament back in November.
Kally Kadzinski and Kelly Dowuona went 9-4 and 10-6 in singles respectively during the fall. They went 12-5 as a doubles team in the fall.
Chichkina, Dowuona, Kadzinski and Zuba were all named NEC Prime Performers for the month of September. Chichkina, Zuba and Reagen Mangan all were named NEC Prime Performers in October. Chichkina was named NEC Rookie of the Month for both September and October as well.
Scouting Navy
The Midshipmen will play their first dual matches of the season against the Red Flash and Saint Bonaventure on the day.
Emily Tannenbaum was the top singles player for Navy in the fall, going 12-5 in singles and 14-3 in doubles with two partners. Emma Gu and Grace Lee went 7-2 and 7-3 respectively in singles during the fall.

Saint Francis have never beaten Navy, dropping all 14 matches, including last year's match on Jan. 20, 2024.
Men's Tennis Quick Hits
Saint Francis enters the spring season with positive momentum after a strong fall campaign.
Alan Gonzalez went 6-3 in singles during the fall and 6-1 when teaming with Kevin Kruzel in doubles.
Tyler Nguyen and Mathis Tremblay were the top doubles team for the Red Flash during the fall, compiling an 11-4 record during the fall and qualifying for ITA Conference Masters as the winners of the top doubles flight at NEC Individuals. That NEC Individuals doubles final was an all-Saint Francis affair, as Nguyen and Tremblay knocked off Gonzalez and Kruzel.
Scouting Navy
Navy opens up their dual match slate with fixtures against the Red Flash and Saint Bonaventure.
Nathan Nguyen was the top singles player for the Midshipmen in the fall with a 7-6 record. J.J. Etterbeek was right behind him at 6-6.
The top doubles teams for Navy in the fall were the pairings of Charlie Spencer and Herrick Legaspi, and Luke Garner and George Cutone. Both teams went 4-0 in the fall.
