BOX SCORE Ebensburg, Pa. – Saint Francis Men's Tennis cruised to a 5-2 victory over Siena in their home opener on Friday morning. The Red Flash improve to 1-1 on the year with the win.
Doubles
The no. 1 and no. 3 doubles teams secured victory in their respective matches to claim the doubles point and give the Red Flash a 1-0 lead. Tyler Nguyen and Mathis Tremblay won the no. 1 doubles match, while Patrick Reese and Kevin Titus Suresh won the no. 3 doubles bout 6-3.
Nguyen and Tremblay are now 12-4 as a doubles team for the 2024-25 year. Reese and Titus Suresh improved to 4-1.
Alan Gonzalez and Kevin Kruzel led the no. 2 doubles match 4-3, but it went unfinished due to Saint Francis securing the doubles points with two wins.
Singles
Saint Francis won the no. 2, 3, 4 and 6 singles matches to make it a 5-2 win on the day.
Gonzalez cruised to a 6-0, 6-3 win in the no. 2 match. The sophomore is now 7-4 in singles on the year.
Tremblay won the no. 3 match in three sets with a 6-1, 5-7, 6-3 victory. The Montreal, Quebec native improves to 5-2 in singles competition this season.
Titus Suresh won the no. 4 match in a hard fought 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (8-6) result to secure the win for the Red Flash. The freshman continues his impressive debut campaign with an 8-3 singles record.
Gregory Troyan also won a tough match in the no. 6 slot with a 6-4, 4-6, 10-6 triumph. Troyan moves back to .500 on the season at 4-4 in singles competition.

Titus Suresh won his first dual singles and doubles of his young collegiate career.
Gonzalez is now three wins away from 30 collegiate wins, earning his 27th career victory against the Saints.
Nguyen and Tremblay hit the 25-win milestone as a team with their victory on the day.
