Ebensburg, Pa. – Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis will continue their 2025 campaigns with two matches each over the weekend. Both the men's and women's team play at Binghamton on Saturday and Le Moyne on Sunday.
The women's match against the Bearcats on Saturday starts at 1 p.m., while the men's match starts at 4 p.m. The men's match against the Dolphins starts at 6 p.m. and the women's match starts at 7:30 p.m.
On the men's side, the Binghamton match will be a rematch of last year's NEC Final.
Women's Tennis Quick Hits
Saint Francis is 1-3 after falling to Penn State last week.
Dasha Chichkina and Diana Zuba are the top performers for the Red Flash entering the match, Chichkina is currently 11-4 in singles and Zuba went 11-5. They are 10-9 as a doubles team.
Kally Kadzinski and Kelly Dowuona are 9-6 and 10-8 in singles respectively. They are currently 12-7 as a doubles team this season.
Morgan Tuffs has started her debut campaign strong with a record of 7-4 in singles competition.
Scouting Binghamton
The Bearcats are 0-2 on the year in dual matches, with one of those losses coming courtesy of the Red Flash back on Oct. 5. Binghamton will have played a third match by the time they meet the Red Flash on Saturday, as they square off with Le Moyne on Friday night.
Clara Arbeloa Lopez has been the top singles player for Binghamton this season, compiling a record of 5-4.
The Bearcats have a couple of players hovering around the .500 mark in doubles action this season. Loren Cuomo is 4-4 in doubles and Samantha Jaros is 3-3.
All-Time vs. Binghamton
Saint Francis has claimed victory in all three matches in the all-time series. The Red Flash won 5-2 in 2022, and 7-0 in both 2023 and 2024.
When the two schools met in the fall, the Zuba, Chichkina, Reagen Mangan, Kadzinski, Dowuona, Sara Jankovic and Tuffs all earned victories. The first four players in that list earned both singles and doubles victories.
Scouting Le Moyne
The Dolphins are 0-1 this season after seeing defeat against Rhode Island on Jan. 25. Le Moyne will have played an additional match by the time they meet Saint Francis on Sunday, squaring off with Binghamton on Friday.
Isabella Barona holds the best singles record for Le Moyne this year at 4-5 overall. Feriel Mahbouli is also one game below .500 at 3-4.
Paula Casares and Adelie Wilson are the top performing doubles tandem for the Dolphins, entering the weekend at 5-1. Mahbouli and Ella Fernando are right behind them at 5-2.
All-Time vs. Le Moyne
Saint Francis won the only previous meeting between the two schools on Feb. 4, 2024. Zuba, Reagen Mangan, Sara Jankovic, Kadzinski and Dowuona all earned wins in both singles and doubles.
Men's Tennis Quick Hits
Saint Francis enters the weekend at 1-2 after splitting their contests last weekend. The Red Flash defeated Siena 5-2 in their home opener before falling on the road to Bucknell.
Alan Gonzalez currently sits at 7-5 in singles competition on the season. Kevin Titus Suresh has had a solid debut campaign, compiling a record of 8-4 in singles so far.
Tyler Nguyen and Mathis Tremblay are the top doubles tandem for the Red Flash at 12-5 this year. Gonzalez and Kevin Kruzel have also played well, sitting at 7-2 on the season.
Scouting Binghamton
The Bearcats are 1-1 on the year after dropping their first match of the season to St. John's in a 6-1 result, before rebounding with a 4-2 win over Niagara. Binghamton will play Le Moyne on Friday night before they meet the Red Flash.
Ronin Lotlikar has been the top singles performer for the Bearcats this season with a 7-5 record.
The doubles tandem of Zubin Omar and Andre Ajed are a perfect 6-0 on the year for Binghamton. Filipe Costa and Andrew Fang are also performing well, posting a record of 4-2.
All-Time vs. Binghamton
Saint Francis and Binghamton have met two times previously. Both meetings occurred last season and were won by the Bearcats.
The second of the two meetings was in the NEC Championship match. The Red Flash won the doubles point in dramatic fashion after a win in the no. 2 slot from the team of Gonzalez and Kruzel. However, Saint Francis ultimately fell to Binghamton 4-1.
Scouting Le Moyne
The Dolphins enter the weekend at 0-2 after losses to DePaul and Dartmouth in their first two matches. Le Moyne will play Binghamton on Friday night before their match with the Red Flash on Sunday.
Navya Verma and Xavier Branagan are the top singles performers for Le Moyne at 5-3 and 3-1 respectively.
Peter Hatton and Bernardo Teixeira are the top doubles team for the Dolphins at 3-2.
All-Time vs. Le Moyne
Saint Francis won the lone meeting between the two schools.
The Red Flash won that match 5-2 and saw Nguyen, Tremblay, Gonzalez, Patrick Reese and Gregory Troyan secure singles wins. The team of Gonzalez and Kruzel won their doubles match, as did Troyan and Marc Fuste.

Both teams host Dayton next weekend in their next match. The women host the Flyers on Saturday at 8 a.m. in Ebensburg, while the men host Dayton in Pittsburgh at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
The women host Niagara in Ebensburg on Sunday as well.
