Red Flash Strikes Three Times, Dolphins Left Out Of The Water

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> Alexandra Sappia was presented with her 2,000-assist ball prior to the start of the game.
>> Korrin Burns recorded another 20-kill game.
>> Saint Francis beat Le Moyne in three sets (25-23, 25-15, 25-18).

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
The Red Flash and the Dolphins went back and forth the whole first set before Saint Francis went on a 6-1 run to shut down any thoughts that Le Moyne had of winning the set. Burns started the fire with a kill across the court sent by Sappia. Then Alexa Chapla showed her strength from the serving line with an ace to continue to surge. Burns and Kori McClure went up for a huge duo block at the net to discontinue the thoughts of attacking. Chapla went back to the line and collected another ace. Burns registered a kill from Sappia to put Saint Francis at game point. Le Moyne made an attacking error to give the Red Flash the first set which powered them to not give up the next two, winning 3-0.

FLASH MOMENTS
WIth Le Moyne up 5-3 in the beginning of the second set, the Red Flash went on an 8-2 surge. Paloma Gonzalez Jaramillo had a kill that was dished out by Burns. The Dolphins gave up two points due to attacking errors. Gwen Atkins collected a service ace, and Alyssa Irwin and Sappia registered a duo block to send the ball into the stands. Gonzalez Jaramillo wanted another kill, so Sappia threw up two perfect passes for her to record the kills. Sappia set up two more passes for Burns and Irwin to convert on. Burns ended up swinging at a ball from Atkins to win the set.

Saint Francis had the lead 17-15 but did not like the close gap, so they went on a 7-1 run. Burns had the first kill and service ace of the run. Gonzalez Jaramillo followed right behind with a kill of her own. Sappia set up that kill and the next one to Irwin. McClure registered a service ace to give the Red Flash some insurance. Irwin laid a kill down the middle to bring Saint Francis to game point. Le Moyne ended up recording a service error to give Saint Francis the win.
