Saint Francis men's soccer players Andre Israel, Mike Wernicke, and Jonah Wolf were named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the association announced Tuesday.

College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. In order to be eligible to earn a CSC Academic All-District selection, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, own a grade point average above 3.50 and must compete in 90 percent of contests or start in at least 66 percent of contests.

Israel, an Engineering major, maintained a 3.629 GPA. The Clarksburg, Md. native started all 18 matches of the 2025 season. The senior registered three assists for three points as well as took two shots. In his four year career at Saint Francis, Israel appeared in 50 games with 31 started, two goals and four assists for eight points, and nine shots taken.

Wernicke, a Business Management major from Potsdam, Germany, held a 3.778. The junior was named first team All-NEC for his 2025 campaign. He registered 17 starts and game appearances for his Red Flash debut. Wernicke, even with playing a key role on defense, also recorded one goal and one assist for three points and eight shots taken.

Wolf, an Engineering major, maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA. The Benddorf, Germany native was named first team All-NEC for his 2025 campaign. During his 2024 season, he earned an All-NEC Rookie Team selection. The sophomore appeared in 16 games with 13 started. He recorded a career-high of 1,259 minutes played with three goals and three assists for nine points for the 2025 season.

Academic All-District honorees will be evaluated by a CSC sub-committee to determine their candidacy for the Academic All-America ballot. All-America honorees will be announced in early December.
