Red Flash Make A Splash On Senior Night With 203-72 Win

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Saint Francis women's swimming capped off its home schedule in dominant fashion, cruising past Lock Haven 203–72 on Senior Night at Stokes Natatorium.

The Red Flash claimed victories in 11 of 14 events, highlighted by strong performances from seniors Sara Turner, Morgan Moniz, Laryssa Webster, Joey Testa, Mina Nikolic, and Abbey Kutchel.

Saint Francis swept both relays and posted multiple 1–2 finishes to continue its strong start to the 2025–26 campaign.


FLASH MOMENTS
The Red Flash wasted no time setting the tone, opening the meet with a 1–2 finish in the 200 medley relay. The team of Maura Rubio, Taylor Weth, Reegan Brown, and Joey Testa led the way in 1:52.53.

Senior Morgan Moniz set the pace in the mid-distance events, winning both the 200 freestyle (2:01.86) and 500 freestyle (5:32.14).

Sara Turner continued her stellar season, sweeping the 200 butterfly (2:10.82) and 200 IM (2:11.88) to lead all swimmers with two individual victories.

Reegan Brown added a pair of wins in the 100 backstroke (1:02.50) and 100 freestyle (56.46), while Maura Rubio sprinted to first in the 50 freestyle (25.09).

Breaststroke standout Kathryn Tanis captured both the 100 (1:08.11) and 200 (2:29.77) titles, and senior Laryssa Webster claimed the 100 butterfly (1:00.30) to highlight a balanced night across all events.

Senior Abbey Kutchel earned key team points with a runner-up finish in the 1000 freestyle (11:55.72), continuing her consistent distance performances this season.

Saint Francis closed the meet in style with a dominant showing in the 200 freestyle relay, as Rubio, Katie Webster, Brown, and Tanis clocked a winning time of 1:40.73, completing the team's relay sweep.


FLASH NUGGETS
The Red Flash earned 11 event wins and swept both relays on Senior Night.

Seniors Moniz, Turner, Webster, Testa, and Kutchel combined for major point contributions across multiple events.

SFU placed first or second in 13 of 14 events, showing exceptional depth across every stroke.

The meet marked Saint Francis's fifth consecutive victory over Lock Haven.
