LAST TIME OUT
The Red Flash's last meet was the VMI Winter Relays on Jan. 31-Feb. 1. The teams combined for three event victories and 33 top-8 finishes.
Julian Saunders and
Olivia Renk claimed Northeast Conference Prime Performer for their performances at the relays.
Saunders received his third prime performer of the season after competing in four events at last weekend's meet. The senior finished second in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 6.85 and also placed second in the men's 4x400 relay with
Seamus Girdusky,
Jayden Foster and
Tyler Persing with a time of 3:27.29. Saunders also took fourth in the men's 200-meter dash, clocking in a time of 22.02. To round out the events, he took sixth as a part of the distance medley relay team.
Renk continued her stellar rookie season with three excellent performances in her events to claim her second prime performer. As a part of the distance medley relay team with
Mariclare Anderson,
Naomi Hillen and
Nina Connors, the freshman finished first with a time of 12:31.00. Individually, she registered a second place finish in the women's 200-meter dash with a time of 25.36 and clocked in a time of 7.74 to place sixth in the 60-meter dash.Â
Anna Quackenbush was one of the three event victories, coming in first in the women's 5000-meter run with a time of 17:46.48. Her time puts her sixth in the all-time Saint Francis women's indoor track & field performance lists in the event.
Tyler Craft won his first collegiate event in the men's triple jump with a mark of 14.06m.
Alexandra Dever is now ninth all-time in the Saint Francis history books for the women's high jump after recording a mark of 1.52m.
RED FLASH AT LIBERTY OPEN HISTORY
The 2024-25 season will mark the second straight season that Saint Francis has competed at the Liberty Open. At last year's meet, the Red Flash combined for one event victory and 29 top-10 finishes.
