Men's And Women's Tennis Head To New York For Two NEC Matches

Brookville, N.Y. – Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis hit the road again for two matches on Friday and Saturday night.

Both teams play LIU on Friday, Mar. 14 at 6:45 p.m. And Wagner on Mar. 15 at 6 p.m.
 
Women's Tennis Quick Hits 
Saint Francis enters the match with a 7-5 overall record and 3-0 in conference play. Last time out the Red Flash fell to UNC Wilmington after a four-match win streak.

Diana Zuba, Dasha Chichkina and Kelly Dowuona are the top singles performers for the Red Flash so far this season. Zuba is 18-6 in singles, Chichkina is 16-6 and Dowuona is 16-9. 

Dowuona leads Saint Francis in doubles wins on the year at 17-9. Kally Kadzinski is right behind Dowuona in doubles wins with a 15-7 doubles record. Kadzinski also has hit double-digit wins in singles as well at 13-10. 

Morgan Tuffs is off to a strong start to her collegiate career at 11-6 in singles this year.

Dowuona is second all-time in program history for total career wins with 96 victories to her name. If the Brampton, Ontario native hits the 100-win milestone, she would be just the second player in program history to do so. Alex Sachs holds the crown for most total wins in program history at 101. Dowuona is third in program history for singles wins with 46 victories to her name. Dowuona is the program's all-time leader in doubles wins with 48, surpassing Sach's total of 45 on Feb. 1 with a win over Binghamton.
 
Scouting LIU
LIU is 1-8 overall on the year, with their lone win being a 5-2 victory over Fairfield on Jan. 25. LIU . Saint Francis will be the first conference opponent of the year.
 
All-Time vs. LIU
The Red Flash are 1-6 all-time against LIU. Their lone win came in 2016. 

Scouting Wagner
The Seahawks are 4-7 on the year and winners of their last two matches. Wagner lost to both NEC opponents they played in Stonehill and Le Moyne.
 
All-Time vs. Wagner
The Red Flash are 10-1 all time against Wagner and have won the last 10 matchups dating back to 2008.

Men's Tennis Quick Hits 
Saint Francis enters the weekend at 4-7 and have won their last two matches. 

Kevin Titus Suresh leads Saint Francis in singles wins so far this season with a 14-5 record. The Bengaluru, India native has won his last four singles matches. Alan Gonzalez is also over .500 at 11-8

Tyler Nguyen has a 14-7 doubles record this year and picked up a win alongside Gonzalez against Lafayette last time out. Gonzalez is 10-8 in doubles this season.

Scouting LIU
The Sharks are 4-6 on the season and will have played one more match against North Carolina A&T on Thursday night.
 
All-Time vs. LIU
The Red Flash are 0-1 all-time against LIU, with the only previous meeting occurring in 2022.

Scouting Wagner
The Seahawks are also 4-6 on the season. The only NEC opponent Wagner has played is Stonehill on Oct. 26. They lost 4-3. 
 
All-Time vs. Wagner
Saint Francis is 11-3 all-time against Wagner, winning nine in a row dating back to 2008.

The women's team returns home to play Bucknell on Mar. 22 at 9 a.m. The men's team heads out to Pittsburgh for a match against Carnegie Mellon on Mar. 21.
