Ebensburg, Pa. – Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis return to action this weekend for three total matches. The men's team play on Mar. 21 and Mar. 23 against Carnegie Mellon and Lehigh. The women's team play Bucknell on Mar. 22 at 9 a.m.

Men's Tennis plays Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh and Lehigh in Ebensburg at noon.
 
Women's Tennis Quick Hits 
Saint Francis enters the match with a 9-5 overall record and a perfect 5-0 in conference play. Last time out the Red Flash defeated Wagner 4-3 to stay perfect in the NEC. 

Diana Zuba, Dasha Chichkina and Kelly Dowuona are the top singles performers for the Red Flash so far this season. Zuba is 20-6 in singles, Chichkina is 17-7 and Dowuona is 17-10. 

Zuba has won nine of her last 10 singles matches and was named NEC Player of the Week on Mar. 20.

Dowuona is second all-time in program history for total career wins with 97 victories to her name. If the Brampton, Ontario native hits the 100-win milestone, she would be the second player in program history to do so. Alex Sachs holds the crown for most total wins in program history at 101. Dowuona is third in program history for singles wins with 47 victories to her name. Dowuona is the program's all-time leader in doubles wins with 48, surpassing Sach's total of 45 on Feb. 1 with a win over Binghamton.

Kally Kadzinski is 15-10 in singles on the year and 16-11 in doubles after winning three of her four matches last weekend, earning an NEC Prime Performer honor in the process.
 
Scouting Bucknell
Bucknell is 5-6 on the year and 0-1 in the Patriot League. Whitney King is the top singles performer for the Bison on the year with an 11-3 record. Cameron King is also 8-2 on the season. King and Abby Platt are the top doubles team for Bucknell this season with a 13-5 record as a pair. 

All-Time vs. Bucknell
The Red Flash are 4-8 all-time against Bucknell, having last won against the Bison in 2023. Saint Francis narrowly lost 4-3 to Bucknell in last season's meeting. Kadzinski, Dowuona and Reagen Mangan all picked up singles win in that meeting.


Men's Tennis Quick Hits 
Saint Francis enters the weekend at 5-8 and 1-3 in the NEC. Last time out, the Red Flash won 5-2 over Wagner to earn their first conference.

Kevin Titus Suresh leads Saint Francis in singles wins so far this season with a 15-6 record. . Alan Gonzalez is also over .500 at 12-9.

Mathis Tremblay has the best doubles record this year for the Red Flash at 14-6. Tremblay returned against LIU and Wagner for his first matches since won the no. 2 doubles match alongside Kevin Kruzel against Wagner. 

Tyler Nguyen also has 14 doubles wins at 14-8, but earned a win in singles last time out against Wagner in the no. 1 spot. His efforts earned him an NEC Prime Performer nod on Mar. 20.

Scouting Carnegie Mellon
The Tartans are 8-10 on the year and 2-1 in the University Athletic Association (UAA). Alex Feies has the most singles win on the year for Carnegie Mellon with a 19-6 record. 
Raghav Jangbahadur is 13-3 and Daniel King is 11-4 in singles so far.

In doubles Feies and Akshay Joshi are the top doubles team for the Tartans at 10-6 so far this season. 
 
All-Time vs. Carnegie Mellon
The Red Flash are 3-6 all-time against Carnegie Mellon, but won 6-3 in their meeting a season ago. Nguyen, Gonzalez, Tremblay, Kruzel and Gregory Troyan all won matches in that contest.

Scouting Lehigh
The Mountain Hawks are 5-6 on the season and 1-0 in the Patriot League. 

Mark Blekhman is the top singles performer for Lehigh this season at 6-5. Blehkman and Sean Jaeger are the top doubles team for the Mountain Hawks at 6-4.

Saint Francis is 1-8 all-time against Lehigh, with their last win coming in 2017.
