Men's And Women's Tennis To Wrap Up Regular Season With Two Conference Matches

Hershey, Pa. – Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis will both look to wrap up their regular season schedules with conference wins in their final two matches of the 2025 campaign. Both teams will play FDU in Hershey on Friday, Apr. 11 at 4 p.m., and host Mercyhurst on Sunday, Apr. 13. 
 
Women's Tennis Quick Hits 
Saint Francis enters the match with a 13-6 overall record and a perfect 6-0 in in the Northeast Conference (NEC). Last time out the Red Flash narrowly lost on the road to Duquesne, 4-3. 

Diana ZubaDasha Chichkina and Kelly Dowuona are the top singles performers for the Red Flash so far this season. Zuba is 23-8 in singles, Chichkina is 21-8 and Dowuona is 21-11. 

Zuba and Chichkina are the top doubles pairing for the Red Flash this season at 17-15 on the year.
Chichkina is coming off of her third consecutive NEC Rookie of the Week nod. The freshman is 5-2 in singles against NEC opponents this season.

Dowuona is the new record holder for the most total wins in program history at 104 wins. She surpassed Alex Sachs' record of 101 with her singles win over Stonehill on Apr. 5. The Brampton, Ontario, native has won four singles matches in a row.

Kally Kadzinski, sitting at 16-11 in singles on the year, has won four singles matches in a row as well. The sophomore was named an NEC Prime Performer on Apr. 10.
 
Scouting FDU
The Knights come into the match at 8-7 on the year and 5-0 in conference play. Last time out, FDU fell 4-0 to Temple.

Namie Isago is the top singles player for FDU at 15-14 on the season. Isago is one of six FDU players to reach double digit wins this season. Ann Kato, Yelena Kim, Katsiaryna Kostsina, Alena Kubanova, Anastasia Lim and Valentina Silva have all won 10 or more singles matches this season.

Silva and Kostsina make up the top doubles tandem for the Knights this season with a 7-5 record.

All-Time vs. FDU
The Red Flash are 2-7 all-time against the Knights. The last meeting between the two sides occurred in 2023, with FDU winning 5-2.

Scouting Mercyhurst
The Lakers enter the weekend with an even 5-5 record on the season and a 1-2 record in conference play. Last time out, Mercyhurst fell 4-3 to St. Bonaventure. The Lakers will have played an additional match by the time the meet Saint Francis, as they are scheduled to play Duquesne on Apr. 12.

All-Time vs. Mercyhurst
The Red Flash have won all three of the previous meetings between the two schools. The last meeting was in 2022 and resulted in a 5-2 Saint Francis victory.

Men's Tennis Quick Hits 
Saint Francis are currently 6-10 overall and 2-3 in the NEC.

Kevin Titus Suresh is the top singles player for the Red Flash on the season at 17-7. The Bengaluru, India, native was named NEC Rookie of the Week on Apr. 10 after winning three matches last week. Alan Gonzalez has also hit double-digit wins with a 13-11 record.

Mathis Tremblay enters the weekend as the Red Flash's top doubles player this year at 15-8 on the season. Tyler Nguyen has also won 15 doubles matches, sitting at 15-10. Gonzalez, Titus Suresh and Kevin Kruzel have all won 10 or more doubles matches this season.
 
Scouting FDU
The Knights stand at 7-12 on the year but hold a conference record of 4-1. Last time out, FDU lost 4-1 to Temple.

Jorge Alonso-Cortes leads the Knights in singles wins with a 15-9 record on the year. Gryffin Minor is second on the team with a 14-15 record.

Tyler Crook is the top doubles player for the Knights at 10-4 on the season.

All-Time vs. FDU
The Red Flash are 4-7 all-time against the Knights, but earned a 4-2 win in their NEC Semifinal match a year ago.
 
Scouting Mercyhurst
The Lakers enter the weekend at 3-11 on the season and 1-3 in conference play. Last time out, Mercyhurst fell 7-0 to Penn State.

Mercyhurst will have played another match by the time they square off with Saint Francis, as the play Duquesne on Apr. 12.

All-Time vs. Mercyhurst
The Red Flash are 1-2 all-time against the Lakers but won the previous matchup back in 2022, 5-2.
