Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis Track & Field's Clark Gulycz collected his fourth Northeast Conference (NEC) prime performer for his performance at the Red Flash Open on April 26, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Gulycz finished first in the men's shot put with an NEC and personal-best mark of 16.90m. The freshman's toss is 1.38m better than CCSU's Greyson Golda (15.52m). He also took 11th in discus with another personal-best throw of 36.50m.
Gulycz's first place finish was one of seven produced by the Red Flash at the regular season finale. It is also his second time taking the top spot at the Jim Taylor Duals earlier in the season.
Track & Field will compete at the NEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Stonehill College May 3-4. It will be held at W.B. Mason Stadium.
