For the second year in a row, Saint Francis had three teams named the Team GPA Winner by the Northeast Conference as part of the league's announcement of the Institutional Academic Award and Team GPA Winners on Friday. Women's Lacrosse, men's soccer, and men's volleyball each earned the distinction in 2024-25.
Men's volleyball earned the recognition for the third straight year in the first three years the NEC has sponsored the sport.The team becomes the fourth team in Red Flash history to win the distinction in at least three consecutive seasons after women's cross country, women's indoor track and field and women's outdoor track and field won four straight campaigns (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018,)
Men's soccer picks up its third Team GPA win and first since winning back-to-back in 2007 and 2008. Women's lacrosse grabs its first distinction to become the 18th different sport to record a Team GPA title.
Women's cross country has seven titles, and women's indoor and outdoor track and field have five titles each. Field hockey, women's swimming and diving, and men's tennis each have four, while men's cross country (3), men's soccer (3), women's tennis (3), women's golf (2), softball (2), men's indoor and outdoor track and field (2), men's volleyball (2), women's volleyball (2), men's golf (1), women's lacrosse (1) and women's soccer (1) have received the distinction since league started the awards in 2007.
Saint Francis finished eighth among the other NEC schools in terms of overall GPA. It won an NEC record six Institutional Awards (2009, 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021, and 2022).
